The material is hard, highly brittle, and features a reflective coating, backing adhesive, and minor impurities on the surface – distinct from ordinary aggregates and regular glass. The crushed mirror glass particles can be used in building material fillers, recycled aggregates, and solid waste recycling, offering high resource value.

II. On-Site Production Challenges

The customer previously used conventional hammer crushers and impact crushers to process waste mirrors, with significant drawbacks. Mirror glass is extremely brittle, and high-speed impact crushing causes excessive pulverization – generating large amounts of powder with few uniform particles, resulting in extremely low effective yield. The backing adhesive and coating debris tend to stick to the crushing chamber, causing continuous material buildup and clogging, leading to frequent downtime for cleaning. Additionally, high-speed friction and impact accelerate equipment wear, while dust pollution is severe and maintenance costs are high. The finished product particle size is inconsistent and fails to meet the standards for mirror glass recycling.
